Reframing Eyeware

Recycling what’s not been recycled before.

We teamed up with a eyeware brand to research and develop methods to recycle their customer’s old glasses into new frames. Acetate, the material most frames are made off, has been recycled on a post-production level, but post-comsumer recycling has long been put off as too hard by the industry.

With an ambitious goal, we set out to develop simple and replicable collection and recycling processes that would allow the brand to become the first one in Europe to go full circle with their product.

The outcomes and aesthetic properties achieved speak for themselves, so put on your glasses (if you need them) and take a look!
