From Food Waste To Packaging
Within Beyond Plastic we developed a production technique for innovative materials to manufacture packaging from food waste. This novel process uses only heat and pressure to transform orange peels, potato peels or other left overs into small and medium-sized objects, such as bowls, cups and takeaway containers.
Innovation Open Source
In order to amplify our findings and allow as many people as possible around the world to copy and build on them, we open sourced everything together with Precious Plastic, an open source community to tackle plastic waste.
Recipes for (Compostable) success
Besides the instructions and plans for the machine, we also released all material recipes and process parameters through the Precious Plastic Academy.
